The Community Technology Mobile Unit travels throughout the Martinsville and Henry County area to offer a venue where Healthy Relationship Classes are offered to the 20-29 year old age group.
The Community Technology Mobile Unit goes to Section 8 Housing Units and other underserved communities to remove the barrier of transportation.
Program Facilitators offer an array of services which includes the curriculum "Healthy
Relationship" that gives helpful information on "How To Achieve a Healthy Relationship", "Sexual Health Information", giving information on the various Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Family Planning Information, giving the most up-to date information on contraceptions, Domestic Violence information, Effective Communication Skills, Parenting Skills, Male Responsibility.
Other services offered include job listings and job search information, assistance with resume writing. The Community Mobile Classroom is equipped with three computers, printer, refrigerator that offers young people snacks, television, VCR and DVD players.
The Community Technology Mobile Unit is one of the places where Partners in Prevention Classes are conducted. Other places include: The Reality House, The Gallery Banquet and Convention Center, where once of the month Book Clubs are conducted.
